‘Transportation’, ‘Tobacco’ Register Highest Monthly Price Increase

The indexes of “transportation” and “tobacco” registered the highest monthly price rise in the eighth month of the current fiscal year (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) among 12 groups of consumer goods and services monitored by the Statistical Center of Iran.
With a coefficient of 9.41%, the CPI of “transportation” stood at 467.2 in the month ending Nov. 21, indicating a 3.4% increase compared with the month before. 
The “transportation” index registered a year-on-year increase of 25%.
