The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's survey of the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21-Aug. 22) shows the output of 11 industrial products (out of 24) registered growth compared with the similar period of last year.
A total of 3,185 trucks, mini trucks and vehicle pullers were produced during the period, showing a 60.3% year-on-year rise.
Vegetable oil production saw a 37.3% rise to 835,700 tons.
More than 549,900 washing machines were produced, up 36.8%.
Carbon black production stood at 66,200 tons, showing a YOY increase of 17.2%.
The output of refrigerators and freezers went up by 11.9% to reach more than 858,700 sets.
Some 240 combine harvesters were manufactured, showing a 7.1% YOY rise.
Particle boards saw a 5.8% increase in production to 363,300 cubic meters.
The production of petrochemicals stood at 26.5 million tons, up 4.7%
A total of 753,700 swamp coolers were also produced, indicating a 4.1% increase.
Cardboard production stood at 223,100 tons, up 2.7% YOY.
A total of 349,700 passenger vehicles were manufactured, up by 0.2%.
Meanwhile, 13 products out of the 24 under study saw a decline in production during the period.
A total of 1,400 tons of acrylic fibers were produced, down by 37%.
Around 11,100 tons of pesticides and insecticides were produced, down 27.9% YOY, while detergent powders reached 225,800 tons, showing a 14.5% decline.
The manufacture of electric motor stood at 2.92 million devices while that of pick-up trucks reached 27,108, registering a 14% fall.
Television production stood at 447,700 sets to register a year-on-year increase of 11.7%.
The production of shoes and other kinds of footwear hit 45.2 million pairs, showing a 7.7% fall compared with the similar period of last year.
Different types of synthetic fiber production rose by 6.8% YOY to stand at 98,800 tons.
A total of 649,200 cubic meters of fibers were produced during the period, down 3.7%.
Refined industrial and motor oil production hit 258,900 tons, down 3.52%.
A total of 669 buses, minibuses and vans were manufactured, down by 2.8%.
Leather products amounted to 13.3 million square feet, down 2.2%, as different types of paper stood at 394,700 tons, down 0.5% YOY.

Petrochemical production hit 5.4 million tons, up 7.3%.
The output of different types of synthetic fiber rose by 5.6% to stand at 19,000 tons and particle boards saw a 3.4% increase to reach 63,900 cubic meters.
Television production hit 80,300 sets to register an increase of 3.4%.
Meanwhile, 19 products out of the 24 witnessed a decline in output during the month under review.
Acrylic fibers’ production stood at 10 tons down 99.2%.
A total of 24 combine harvesters were manufactured, showing a 68% decline.
Over 42,000 swamp cooler were produced, indicating a 59.5% decrease.
A total of 348,600 electric motors were produced, down 47.4%.
Around 1,300 tons of pesticides and insecticides were produced during the month, down 42%.
The number of manufactured passenger vehicles and pickup trucks reached 57,300 and 4,693 respectively, each down by 27.5%.
The number for truck, mini truck and vehicle puller stood at 607, showing a 25.1% decrease.
A total of 86,300 cubic meters of fibers were also produced, down 22.6%.
A total of 131 buses, minibuses and vans were manufactured, down by 20.1%.
Refrigerators and freezers declined by 18.8% to 166,300 sets.
While vegetable oil production saw a 15.5% decline to 139,500 tons, the production of detergent powders hit 46,500 tons, showing a 14.5% decline.
The manufacture of washing machines declined by 8.4% MOM to reach 115,000.
Production of shoes and footwear hit 11 million pairs, showing 8.3% decline, and cardboard production stood at 46,200 tons, down 6.5%.
Refined industrial and motor oil production hit 53,400 tons, down 3.6%.
