Incheh Borun Border With Turkmenistan Reopens

A truck crossed the Incheh Borun land border with Turkmenistan in the northeastern Golestan Province on October 14 to mark the reopening of this crossing after 20 months since the outbreak of Covid-19, the news outlet of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported.
Over the past 20 months, Turkmenistan had banned truck traffic across all border crossings with Iran and only railroad border crossings of Sarakhs, Lotfabad and Incheh Borun became operational following a few months of closure due to Covid-19.
Land-based border transportation was resumed only for trailer swapping (allowing trailers to be swapped at the frontier and hauled by local truckers) via Sarakhs and Lotfabad border crossings in Khorasan Razavi Province, IRNA reported.
Bajgiran border crossing in Khorasan Razavi Province was closed completely in March 2020 and has yet to reopen.
