Iranian passengers who plan to fly abroad are advised to apply for the digital vaccination card issued by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, according to an official with the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran.
“The only valid certificate of Covid-19 vaccination in Iran is the digital card issued in Salamat.gov.ir by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education,” Ali Sharifi Zarchi was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
Passengers are advised to apply for a digital vaccination card at least two weeks before the trip by visiting Salamat.gov.ir.
“A total of 92.85 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been imported to Iran in 65 shipments,” Mehrdad Jamal Arvanaghi, the technical deputy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, said on Tuesday.
Sinopharm accounts for the lion's share with 81.73 million doses, followed by AstraZeneca with 6.47 million doses, COVAX with 2.15 million, Sputnik V with 1.37 million doses and Bharat (COVAXIN) with 1.13 million doses, the news portal of IRICA reported.
