The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's survey of the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21) shows the output of 20 industrial products (out of 30 under review) registered growth compared with the similar period of last year.
The production of trucks, mini trucks and vehicle pullers stood at 1,767 vehicles, showing a 72.4% hike YOY.
Vegetable oil production saw a 49.9% YOY rise with 525,000 tons.
The production of washing machines rose by 46% to more than 309,400.
A total of 141,000 combine harvesters were manufactured, showing a 38.2% YOY rise.
More than 13.83 billion cigarettes were produced during the period, indicating a 37.9% increase compared with the corresponding period of last year.
The output of refrigerators and freezers went up by 29.3% by reaching 483,400.
Carbon black production hit 39,400 tons, showing a YOY increase of 20.7%.
Television production stood at 268,900 sets to register a year-on-year increase of 19.9%.
Production of different types of paper amounted to 250,200 tons, up 14.3% YOY.
A total of 450,900 cubic meters of fibers were produced during the period, up 12.2% YOY.
Particle boards saw an 11.1% YOY increase in production with around 237,500 cubic meters.
Different types of synthetic fiber production rose by 10.4% YOY to stand at 61,800 tons.
Swamp cooler production reached 603,800, indicating an 8.5% YOY increase.
Refined industrial and motor oil production hit 149,300 tons, up 7.1% YOY.
The production of passenger vehicles stood at 213,500, up by 6.5% YOY; cardboard at 126,400 tons, up 5.9% YOY; leather products at 7.3 million square feet, up 5% YOY; petrochemicals at 15.92 million tons, up 4.2%; auto tires at 63,800 tons, up 1.6% YOY, and electric motors at 1.89 million devices, up by 0.4% YOY.
Ten products out of the 30 under study saw a decrease in production during the March-June period, compared with the similar quarter of last year.
A total of 500 tons of acrylic fibers were produced during the period, down by 65.7% compared to the previous year.
Production of detergent powders stood at 122,900 tons, showing a 20% decline, YOY.
Around 3,872 tractors were manufactured over the three months, indicating an 11% fall compared with last year’s corresponding period.
Polyester fiber production hit 39,400 tons, down 9.8% YOY.
Production of shoes and other kinds of footwear stood at 22.2 million pairs, showing a 9.4% fall compared with the similar period of last year.
Around 7,700 tons of pesticides and insecticides were produced, down 3.1% YOY.
Human medicine production hit 10.3 billion items, and that of polyester filament yarn stood at 59,200 tons, both showing a YOY decline of 1.3%
Production of buses, minibuses and vans hit 374 vehicles, down by 1.1% YOY.
A total of 15,942 pick-up trucks were manufactured during the three-month period, registering a 0.01% fall compared with the corresponding period of last year.
Monthly Review
The output of 18 industrial products (out of 29 under review) saw growth in the third month of the current fiscal year (May 22-June 21) compared with the previous month.
A total of 79 combine harvesters were manufactured during the month showing a 125.7% rise month-on-month.
A total of 1,836 tractors were manufactured in the month under review, registering a 56.3% rise compared with the preceding month.
Television production hit 119,400 sets to register an MOM increase of 55.6%.
Truck, mini truck and vehicle puller production reached 811, showing a 24.4% increase MOM.
Passenger vehicles reached 85,800, up by 17.8% MOM, while refrigerators and freezers grew by 16.9% MOM to reach 201,400 sets.
The output of buses, minibuses and vans hit 159 vehicles, up by 15.2% MOM.
Refined industrial and motor oil production hit 58,100 tons up 13% compared with the previous month.
A total of 6,465 pickup trucks were manufactured in the month under review, registering a 12.4% rise MOM.
The output of electric motors stood at 738,400 devices, up 11.7% MOM.
Production of washing machines rose by 9.2% MOM to reach 120,700.
Leather products’ output stood at 2.4 million square feet, up 9.1% MOM.
Human medicine production reached 4.1 billion items, up 7.8% month-on-month.
Production of detergent powders hit 47,500 tons, showing a 7.3% growth MOM.
Vegetable oil production saw a 5.1% MOM rise to reach 186,600 tons.

Particle boards saw an 8.2% MOM decrease in production to reach 78,200 cubic meters.
Swamp cooler production stood at 200,600, indicating a 19.8% MOM decrease.
A total of 97,100 cubic meters of fibers were produced in the month under review, down 55.5% MOM.
Producers did not produce any acrylic fibers during the third month of the current fiscal year.
