The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “Transportation” in the 12-month period ending Aug. 22, which marks the end of the fifth Iranian month of the fiscal 2021-22, increased by 61.3% compared with the similar period of the year before, latest data released by the Statistical Center of Iran show.
This marks the highest inflation among 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households.
With a coefficient of 9.41%, the CPI of the group stood at 430.3 for the month to Aug. 22, indicating a 3.6% increase compared with the month before.
