South Khorasan Exports Reach $330 Million Since March 21

A total of 1.1 million tons of goods worth $330 million have been exported from South Khorasan Province since the beginning of the current fiscal year (started March 21), registering an 18% decline in terms of weight but a 40% growth in value, Hassan Rahimizadeh, a local official, said on Wednesday.
From the total exports, $58.2 million pertained to products made in South Khorasan and $271.5 million worth of goods were produced in other Iranian provinces and exported via South Khorasan.
Cement, tiles and ceramics, distillate fuel oil, hydrocarbons, gasoline, bitumen, rebars and dates were the main exported goods. 
Iraq, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan were the main export destinations, IRNA reported.
South Khorasan Province is located in the Iranian northwest and has two border checkpoints, namely Birjand and Mahiroud and four border markets of Dokohaneh, Mil 78, Mil 73 and Yazdan, along its 460-kilometer-long border with Afghanistan.
