The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “Clothing and Shoes” in the 12-month period ending Aug. 22, which marks the end of the fifth Iranian month of fiscal 2021-22, increased by 49.8% compared with last year’s corresponding period.
The figures were announced in the latest report of the Statistical Center of Iran.
With a coefficient of 4.78%, the CPI of the group stood at 395.3 in the month to Aug. 22, indicating a 2.9% increase compared with the month before.
The “Clothing and Shoes” index registered a year-on-year increase of 54.8% during the month under review.
