Afghanistan Flights Suspended Until Further Notice

All flights between Iran and Afghanistan have been suspended until further notice, according to the spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran.
“Kabul Airport’s flight Control Center has announced that its controller system has gone out of order, and therefore, air travels to this country are not possible,” Mohammad Hassan Zibakhsh was quoted as saying by ILNA.
The official noted that no flights from Iran to Afghanistan will take place until safety returns to the neighboring country’s airports.
It has been just a week since the Taliban completed a lightning takeover of the country, finally walking into Kabul last Sunday without firing a shot, Reuters reported.
