Q1 Poultry Output Up 10.5%

A total of 522,400 tons of poultry meat were supplied by Iran’s official slaughterhouses in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (March 21-June 21), indicating a 10.5% rise compared with the fourth quarter of last fiscal year (Dec. 21, 2020-March 20).
The Statistical Center of Iran’s report shows chicken accounted for 511,600 tons, or 98% of the overall production while other types of poultry such as turkey, quail, ostrich and partridge amounted to 10,800 tons, or 2% of the overall poultry output during the period under review.
