Tehran’s airports will be closed for two and a half hours on the inauguration of the new president, Ebrahim Raisi.
According to Mohammad Hassan Zibakhsh, e spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran, Tehran’s airports, namely Imam Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad, Payam International Airport and Qazvin-Azadi Airport will be placed on a no-fly list from 16:30 to 19:00 of August 5 to enhance security, Fars News Agency reported.
Raisi `will be sworn in on Aug. 5, replacing Hassan Rouhani after the former served two four-year terms.
