Iran, Russia to Jointly Produce Veterinary Medicines

Nasr Pharmaceutical Company and a Russian company named AVZ S-P have signed a contract for the joint production of livestock pharmaceutical products.
According to this agreement, Nasr and AVZ S-P will produce five products of veterinary medicine and supply them to the Russian domestic market or export them abroad to a third country. The contract was signed on July 23.
“Under this agreement, we will export the agreed upon drugs, including livestock antibiotics, to Russia as semi-finished products and will complete the production in cooperation with AVZ S-P,” Abdolrahim Motahari, the head of Nasr Pharmaceutical Company, was quoted as saying by IRNA.
“The five products to be jointly produced will be worth at least $700,000 per year. If the number reaches 20, the value of the contract will hit $2.5 million per year."
Nasr Pharmaceutical Company is the biggest producer of veterinary injectable medicines in Iran.
AVZ S-P is a Russian pharmaceutical company founded in 1993. For more than 20 years, the company is developing and producing remedies for curing livestock and pets.
