Cattle farms in Iran produced 2.2 million tons of milk in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 21-June 21), indicating a 10% rise compared with the preceding quarter, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
Fattening practices were carried out on 504,000 cows and calves over the same period, registering a 3% increase compared with the same period of last year.
Iran’s cattle farms had a total of 5.6 million head of heavy livestock and 406,000 calves were born in Q1.
