    Rise in Iran's Shoe Exports

Footwear exports from Iran stood at $105 million in the fiscal 2020-21, registering a 36.5% growth in value and a 29% rise in weight year-on-year.

According to Ali Lashgari, an official with Iran Shoe Industry Association, exports to Iraq declined and accounted for 15.7% of the neighboring country's $374 million market in the fiscal 2020-21 from 25% in the fiscal 2013-14, ISNA reported.

This is while nearly 56% of Iran’s total footwear exports go to Iraq.
