22% Rise in Vegetable Exports

A total of 4.85 million tons of vegetables were exported from Iran in the last fiscal year (March 2020-21), registering a 22% rise compared with the year before, according to the director general of Vegetables and Fodder Production Bureau with the Agriculture Ministry.
“Our overall production stood at 28.12 million tons during the period, up 2.5% compared with the previous year,” Hossein Asghari was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
The official noted that the production of certified vegetable seeds saw a 215% surge to stand at around 600 tons.
