A total of 7.53 million tons of commodities were transited through Iran during the last fiscal year (March 2020-21), showing a 0.89% decline compared with the year before, according to the spokesperson of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
“The transit volume came despite the outbreak of Covid-19, which led to the closure of many of our common border crossings for a few months,” Rouhollah Latifi was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.
