Iran's Strategic Goods Storage Capacity on the Rise

Mazandaran Ports and Maritime Organization recently signed a contract with a private sector company to build a silo with a storage capacity of 30,000 tons of grains in Noshahr Port.
“The private company will invest a total of 402 billion rials [$1.62 million] in the project. The silo is expected to be built and inaugurated within two years,” the head of the organization, Mohammad Taqi Anzanpour, was quoted as saying by the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The official noted that when the project is launched, Noshahr Port’s silo storage capacity will reach 100,000 tons.  
The government is building up its wheat reserves by constructing new silos across the country.
