The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's review of the first 11 months of last Iranian year (March 20, 2020-Feb. 18) shows the output of eight mineral products (out of 11 under review) registered growth compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
A total of 397,500 tons of aluminum ingots were produced during the period, up by a 54.4% year-on-year.
Production of copper cathodes reached 265,400 tons, showing a year-on-year increase of 16.7%.
Cement production grew by 12.4% over the period to stand at 62.88 million tons.
Crude steel production hit 26.11 million tons, indicating a 7.8% rise compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
The output of steel products reached 22.97 million tons, up 7.2% YOY.
Sheet glass production rose by 2.5% YOY to stand at 1.06 million tons.
Coal concentrate production saw 1.9% growth over the 11-month period to reach 1.54 million tons.
Production of glass dishes stood at 661,300 tons, registering a 0.5% increase YOY.
Some 51,200 tons of porcelain dishes were produced over the 11 months, marking a decline of 6.2% YOY, production of alumina stood at 211,400 tons, down 1.2% YOY, and sanitary ware production declined by 0.8% YOY to stand at 106,800 tons.
