A total of 1.5 million tons of commodities were exported via road from Sistan-Baluchestan’s Milak and Mirjaveh border crossings to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the last Iranian year (March 2020-21), according to the director general of the province’s Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization.
“Milak and Mirjaveh accounted for 813,762 tons and 688,195 tons of the overall sum respectively,” Ayyoub Kord was also quoted as saying by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development’s news portal.
The main exported products included gasoline, food products, liquefied natural gas and tar.
“Transit and import through the two aforementioned border crossings stood at 642,483 tons and 77,538 tons respectively,” the official said.
