Cigarette smuggling decreased by 22.1% during the 11 months to Feb. 18.
A total of 7.46 billion cigarettes were smuggled into the country during the period under review compared with 9.58 billion in the corresponding period of the year before, Fars News Agency reported.
Cigarette consumption in Iran is estimated to hover around 59.58 billion over the 11 months under review.
