‘Communications’ Marks Lowest Price Increase

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “communications” in the 12-month period ending Feb. 18, which marks the end of the 11th month of the current Iranian year, increased by 15.1% compared with the previous year’s corresponding period.
According to the Statistical Center of Iran, this group marked the lowest price rise among 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households.
The CPI of “communications” stood at 179.4, indicating a 1.5% decline compared with the month before and making it the only group experiencing deflation.
