A total of 7,711 tons of eels worth $636,906 were exported from Iran during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020-Jan. 19), according to data released by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration.
Thailand was Iran’s biggest customer of the fish with $287,368. Other export destinations, according to the IRIB News report, included Malaysia with $276,584, China with $58,274 and Vietnam with $14,680.
