Iran’s Technical and Vocational Training Organization conducted skills building courses for 63,507 soldiers during the nine months to Dec. 20, 2020, Habib Erfan-Manesh, an official with the organization, said. 
“These courses included 10,283,318 hours of training for soldiers at the Islamic Republic of Iran Army, the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran (NAJA) and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). A total of 32,484 trained soldiers took part in skill assessment tests, 11,219 of them passed the final exam,” he was quoted as saying by IRNA. 
TVTO, affiliated to the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, is the primary institution in charge of short-term technical and vocational training imparted through both public and private sectors. Its main task is to provide vocational training and research through 1-18 months courses: permanent centers of the public sector (600 centers nationwide), mobile training teams (in remote areas), training in prisons, military bases and industries, training in Instructor Training Center and private training institutions (14,000 authorized by TVTO). TVTO trains skilled and semi-skilled labor needed by industry, agriculture and service providers.
