Cattle farms in Iran produced 1.7 million tons of milk in the third quarter of the current year (Sept. 22-Dec. 20, 2020).
A total of 362,000 calves were born in cattle farms over the same period, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
Iran’s cattle farms in Q3 had a total of 5.41 million head of heavy livestock, indicating a 12% increase compared with the preceding quarter.
Fattening practices were conducted on 458,000 cows and calves, indicating a 29% growth quarter-on-quarter.
