After nearly a year of being closed to stop the spread of Covid-19, reception halls have been finally permitted to reopen doors.
According to Khosro Ebrahimnia, the head of Reception Hall Owners Union, as of Jan. 10, reception halls are allowed to open but they must observe social distancing rules, including hosting guests up to one-third of their capacity.
“Their performance will be controlled by oversight bodies, including the Health Ministry and the union’s inspection team, to ensure they are prepared to operate safely,” he was quoted as saying by Fars News Agency on Monday.
After the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, reception halls were among the first businesses that were banned from holding wedding ceremonies or events involving a large gathering of people.
