Medical schools will employ 53,000 healthcare professionals (besides faculty members) in the next Iranian year (starting March 21, 2021), says the Plan and Budget Organization.
As per the budget bill for the fiscal 2021-22 and given the outbreak of coronavirus, salaries, benefits and allowances paid to the employees of medical schools will increase by 50%, the news portal of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture reported
Severance pay of health workers will rise by 25% as well.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Education will see its annual spending package increase by 138% to reach 770 trillion rials ($2.96 billion) next year from the current year’s 320 trillion rials ($1.23 billion).
