The Ministry of Roads and Urban Development dismisses the advertisement of package tours to Turkey offering Covid-19 vaccination as false and deceptive, the deputy minister of roads and urban development said.
“The organizers of such tours would have themselves to blame for the consequences of such advertisements; there would be no flight to Turkey for getting vaccinated for Covid-19,” Shahram Adamnejad was quoted as saying by ILNA.
Noting that the mass production of vaccines has started recently, the official said, “It is natural that countries want to protect their own citizens first. Current flights to Turkey are being operated for purposes other than receiving coronavirus vaccine.”
IranAir, the country’s national flag carrier airline, will operate once-weekly round-trip flights from Tehran to Ankara, after they had been suspended for months due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
With the go-ahead of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran and in compliance with the health protocols of Iran and Turkey, IranAir will resume flights to Ankara, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development reported on Thursday.
The national flag carrier is currently operating two weekly flights between Tehran and Istanbul, even though all flights between the two neighboring country were called off as of Oct. 4, based on a decision by Turkish civil aviation authority.
As per IranAir's announcement, Turkish aviation authorities issued permission for the flag carrier to operate limited flights between the two countries following a series of talks held between the two countries' officials.
