TEDPIX Closes Near Flatline

Large cap stocks had a lukewarm performance in the last day of trading week Wednesday pulling down the market-cap weighted benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange slightly below the flatline. 
TEDPIX shed 2,686 points and dropped 0.18% to close the session at 1,470,980. The equal-weighted index, a better gauge for appraising the performance of small caps, climbed 0.8%.    
About 14.58 billion shares valued at 158.25 trillion rials ($608.66 million) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Mellat Bank contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company. 
Tamin Petroleum and Petrochemical Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Telecommunication Company of Iran and Parsian Bank. 

 

IFX Up 0.53%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 96.53 points or 0.53% to close Wednesday trade at 18,465.94.
About 3.89 billion securities valued at 155.18 trillion rials ($596.86m) were traded at junior exchange for the day.
Lavan Oil Refining Company, Zagros Kowsar Power Generation Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Minoo Industrial Group Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Esfahan Steel Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Day Bank.
