Qeshm Air has resumed roundtrip Tehran-Najaf and Mashhad-Najaf flights.
The airline offers biweekly flights to the Iraqi city on Mondays and Thursdays, IRNA reported.
All passengers older than 12 years are required to show negative PCR tests for the coronavirus, which must have been conducted not more than 72 hours before boarding.
Noting that Iran Aseman Airlines also offers flight to Najaf, Maqsoud Asadi-Samani, secretary of the Association of Iranian Airlines, told Fars News Agency, “These flights won’t carry pilgrims to Najaf; only those holding Iraqi visa or passport, as well as Iraqis who intend to travel here for treatment or other reasons can take these flights.”
Iraq’s aviation authority suspended all Iran flights on March 17 due to the outbreak of coronavirus and allowed them to resume on July 23.
