‘Clothing & Shoes’ Inflation at 32.3%

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of “clothing and shoes” in the 12-month period ending Oct. 21, which marks the end of the seventh Iranian month, increased by 32.3% compared with last year’s corresponding period.
According to the Statistical Center of Iran, with a coefficient of 4.78%, the CPI of “clothing and shoes” among 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households stood at 279.8 in the period, indicating a 5.9% increase compared with the previous month. 
The index registered a year-on-year increase of 39.6% during the month under review.
