A total of 60,000 tons of eggs were exported from Iran during the first half of the current Iranian year (March 20-Sept. 21), according to the head of Producers of Egg-Laying Hens Union.
“Our main export destinations were neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan,” Reza Torkashvand was also quoted as saying by IRNA.
The official noted that more than 1 million tons of eggs were produced in Iran in the last Iranian year (March 2019-20).
