Growth in Production of 16 Industrial Commodities

The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's review of the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-Aug. 21) shows the production of 16 industrial products (out of 28 under review) registered growth during the period compared to the corresponding period of the year before.
A total of 2,200 tons of acrylic fiber were produced during the period, up by 189.5% year-on-year.
Television production stood at 481,600 sets to register a YOY increase of around 78.7%.
Production of laundry machines rose by 58% to 368,400 machines.
A total of 31.52 million pickup trucks were produced during the period under review, indicating a 38.4% YOY rise.
The production of combine harvester totaled 208,000, up by 30.8% YOY.
More than 106,900 tons of auto tires were produced in five months, indicating a 28.6% YOY growth.
Synthetic fiber production rose by 22.8% YOY to 106,000 tons.
The output of refrigerators went up by 18.8% to reach 673,800.
Production of passenger vehicles reached 344,800, up by 18.4% YOY, that of particle boards stood at 333,000 cubic meters, up 15.2% YOY; industrial oil at 252,500 tons, up 10.9% YOY, detergent powder at 264,500 tons, up 10.3% YOY; carbon black at 56,500 tons, up 10% YOY; medicines numbering 18.7 billion, up 6.6% YOY; petrochemical products at 25.18 million tons, up 6.3% YOY; and fibers at 543,700 cubic meters, up 3% YOY.
