Tobacco Inflation at 12.8%

The average goods and services Consumer Price Index of tobacco, among 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households, in the year ending Aug. 21, which marks the end of the fifth Iranian month, increased by 12.8% compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
The CPI of tobacco stood at 367.4, indicating a 5.8% rise compared with the month before. 
The tobacco index, which has the least impact on total inflation rate with a coefficient of 0.59%, registered a year-on-year increase of 31.4%, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
