The growth in overall Consumer Price Index in the fifth month of the current Iranian year (July 22-Aug. 21) was the highest (5.5%) in Lorestan Province compared with the previous month.
This comes as, according to data released by the Statistical Center of Iran, Qom and Mazandaran posted the lowest month-on-month inflation of 2.3% last month.
The overall CPI, using the Iranian year to March 2017 as the base year, stood at 235.9 in the same month, indicating a 3.5% rise compared with the previous month.
Hormozgan Province’s goods and services consumer inflation registered a rise of 34.8% during the month ending Aug. 21 compared with the similar month of the year before, the highest among all provinces.
