Growth in Output of 18 Industrial Products

The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's review of the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20-July 21) shows that the output of 18 industrial and mineral products registered growth compared with the same period of last year.

A total of 1,900 tons of acrylic fiber were produced during the period, up by 159.1% year-on-year.

Washing machine production stood at 286,100 units, registering a year-on-year increase of 67.9%, while that of television sets rose by 59.6% to 338,100 units.

The production of pickup trucks totaled 25,300, up by 32.2% YOY.

Aluminum ingot production was up 49.9% YOY to 129,200 tons while auto tire production rose by 27.6% YOY to 84,700 tons.

Combine harvester production increased by 24.2% to 154 units and that of passenger vehicles stood at 294,000 units, up 19% YOY.

The production of synthetic fiber reached 82,000 tons, up 19.2%; cement stood at 22.3 million tons, up 9% YOY; particle boards at 253,400 cubic meters, up 8.5% YOY; crude steel at 9.2 million tons, up 7.9% YOY; and petrochemical production at 19.3 million tons, up 5.2% YOY.

A total of 83,300 tons of aluminum oxide were produced during the period, indicating a 5.1% increase YOY. 

Carbon output rose 5% YOY to 44,400 tons. 

Steel production hit 7.5 million tons, marking a rise of 4.6% YOY.

A total of 94,600 tons of copper cathode were produced during the period, indicating a 3.5% rise YOY.

Refrigerator production with 452,100 units registered a year-on-year increase of 1.4%.
