3.5-Fold Rise in Teacher Employment

A total of 186,000 teachers were employed by Education Ministry during the second term of President Hassan Rouhani’s administration (started August 2017), registering a 3.5-fold increase compared with his first term (August 2013–17), the vice president for administrative and recruitment affairs said. 
"The government also raised teachers’ wages in the year ending March 2020. At present, the average [monthly] salary of Education Ministry employees is 55.7 million rials [$242]," Jamshid Ansari was also quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.
