A total of 14.79 million tons of iron ore pellets were produced in Iran during the first four months of the current fiscal year (March 20-July 21) to register a 2% rise compared with last year's corresponding period.
Latest data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) show Golgohar was the largest producer with 4.15 million tons (unchanged YOY).
It was followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company with 2.44 million tons (down 2%), MIDHCO with 2.24 million tons, (up 10% YOY), Khouzestan Steel Company with 1.88 million tons (down 13% YOY), Chadormalu with 1.19 tons (down 14% YOY), Opal Parsian Sangan with 954,899 tons (down 22% YOY), Sangan Mineral and Industrial Company with 844,833 tons (up 71% YOY), Khorasan Steel Company with 551,477 tons (up 68% YOY), Mining and Industrial Development Company with 343,992 tons and Sabanour with 164,253 tons (up 13% YOY).
