A total of 423,120 tons of goods worth $563 million have been exported from Sistan-Baluchestan Province’s border markets since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20), indicating a 67% rise in value compared with the similar period of last year. 
“Cement, dates, gas and construction materials were the main goods exported from Sistan-Baluchestan’s seven border markets,” superintendent of the province’s customs offices, Reza Rasti, was quoted as saying by IRNA.
The official noted that during the same perio, around 518,494 tons of products worth more than $687 million were imported through this southeastern province’s border markets, registering a 53% rise in weight and a 43% decline in value year-on-year.
The imports mainly included wheat, rice, barley, mangos and sesame seeds.
Sistan-Baluchestan’s border markets include Gamshad and Milak in Hirmand County, Mirjaveh in a county with the same name, Jalq and Kuhak in Saravan County, Pishin in Sarbaz County and Rimdan in Chabahar.
