Cattle farms in Iran produced 1.85 million tons of milk and 353,000 head of heavy livestock in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (March 20-June 20), indicating an 8.68% and 8.31% decline compared with the preceding quarter.
According to the latest report released by the Statistical Center of Iran, Iran’s cattle farms in Q1 had a total of 4.9 million head of heavy livestock, indicating a 3% increase compared with the preceding quarter. A total of 393,000 calves were born in these farms over the same period, registering a 26.54% decline quarter-on-quarter.
