A total of 11.24 million tons of iron ore pellets were produced in Iran during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20) to register a year-on-year decline of 2%.
Golgohar was the largest producer with 3.09 million tons (down 1% YOY).
It was followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company with 1.92 million tons (up 1%), MIDHCO with 1.7 million tons, (up 6% YOY), Khouzestan Steel Company with 1.43 million tons (down 12% YOY), Chadormalu with 870,546 tons (down 17% YOY), Opal Parsian Sangan with 810,947 tons (down 17% YOY), Sangan Mineral and Industrial Company with 674,093 tons (up 45% YOY), Khorasan Steel Company with 413,951 tons (up 82% YOY) and Sabanour with 129,068 tons (up 25% YOY), latest data released by the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization show.
