The average Consumer Price Index of the education sector in the 12-month period ending May 20 increased by 21.6% compared with last year’s corresponding period.
With a coefficient of 1.86%, the CPI of education group stood at 173.6 for the period under review, indicating a 0.1% rise compared with the month before—the lowest among 12 groups of the basket of consumer goods and services purchased by households, the Statistical Center of Iran reported.
The education group’s CPI index registered a year-on-year increase of 20.2%.
