Two new iron ore processing plants are expected to come on stream by the end of the current Iranian month (May 21-June 20), according to managing director of Sangan Mineral and Industrial Company.
“Sangan Concentrate Plant, located in Khaf County of Khorasan Razavi Province, has a production capacity of 5 million tons per year,” Ali Emraei was also quoted as saying by the news portal of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization.
“More than 50% of the equipment used in this plant have been domestically-produced and the project has been set up by Iranian experts,” he said.
The plant’s output will be used for Mobarakeh Steel Company’s pellet production.
