Growth Prospects for Industrial Investments

More than 3.66 quadrillion rials ($21.57 billion) worth of investments are expected to be made in industrial units, for which establishment permits were issued during the last Iranian year (March 2019-20), showing an increase of 27.1% compared with the previous year.
A total of 28.184 establishment permits were issued over the period, registering a 15.1% growth year-on-year. 
These projects are expected to generate 641,582 jobs, which are 15.7% more compared with the year before, the latest report released by the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade shows.
More than 674.73 trillion rials (nearly $3.97 billion) are estimated to have been invested in projects for which operating licenses were issued during the same period, indicating a 5.3% year-on-year increase.
A total of 6,534 operating licenses were issued during the period, which register a 4.1% YOY growth. These projects are expected to create 107,560 jobs, 0.3% less compared with last year.
