'Health & Treatment' Inflation at 25.3%

The Consumer Price Index for the "health and treatment" group during the 12-month period ending April 19, which marks the end of the first month of the current Iranian year, grew by 25.3% compared with last year’s corresponding period.
CPI stood at 170.8 in the period, indicating a 0.6% increase compared with the previous month. The index, with a coefficient of 7.14%, registered a year-on-year increase of 20.7% compared with the similar month of last year, according to the Statistical Center of Iran.
The overall average annual inflation in Iran stood at 32.2% for the month under review, the news portal of the Ministry of Roads and Urban development reported.
“For urban and rural areas, it stood at 31.9% and 33.9% respectively.
The government will complete the construction of eight hospitals by the end of President Hassan Rouhani’s tenure in June 2021, which will add 1,286 beds to the number of Iranian hospital beds,” Deputy Roads Minister Mohammad Jafar Alizadeh said.
“With the completion of these eight hospitals, the government of President Hassan Rouhani will have built a total of 74 hospitals.”
