Iran exported more than 41,000 tons of eggs during the last fiscal year that ended on March 19, 2020.
According to Reza Torkashvand, the head of Producers of Egg-Laying Hens Union, the country produced 1.1 million tons of eggs last year.
The official said the Agriculture Ministry's plan for the current fiscal year (March 2020-21) is to increase egg production by 4% compared to last year, IRNA reported.
