A total of 20,000 people received loans for setting up home-based businesses in the last Iranian year (March 2019-20), which led to the creation of 35,000 jobs, an official with the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare said.
“Last year, 1,900 home-based jobs were engaged in the production of hygienic products, including masks, scrubs, shoe covers, body bags, etc., which indicate a tenfold increase to reach 19,000. Mask production has now increased to 300,000 per day,” Mahnaz Emamdadi was also quoted as saying by Fars News Agency.
