The government will deposit the second round of its coronavirus aid into the bank accounts of the head of three million low-income families on Saturday.
“A special grant will also be made at the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan next Monday,” Mehdi Qamsarian, the spokesman of the Plan and Budget Organization of Iran tweeted.
“The funding varies between 2 million rials [$12.5] and 6 million rials [$37.5] based on the size of households. Two more payments will be made in the next two months as well,” he added.
One-member families will receive 2 million rials; two-member families 3 million rials ($18.7); three-member families 4 million rials ($25); four-member families 5 million rials ($31) and those with five members and more will receive 6 million rials, Mehr News Agency reported.
