Restaurants may have takeaway services despite the novel coronavirus, says the head of Restaurant Owners Association.
“The government has listed restaurants among high-risk businesses amid the COVID-19 crisis. Yet, all restaurants can resume their activity, provided that they register their business, address, number of employees and their specific field of service in the Health Ministry’s website. After receiving a tracking code, they can open up again to offer takeaway food to their customers only,” Ali Asghar Mir-Ebrahimi was quoted as saying by ILNA.
According to the official, restaurants have been closed for around 40 days now.
“Considering the upcoming holy month of Ramadan [starting April 25], their business is expected to remain in recession for at least another three months,” he added.
