About 54 trillion rials ($329 million) worth of contraband goods were confiscated by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration and other organizations fighting smuggling, including the Law Enforcement Force (police) during the last Iranian year (March 2019-20), according to IRICA’s spokesman.
“The seized goods that were being smuggled into Iran mainly included engines, rice, spare parts and fruit. Outgoing contraband goods included fuel and oil products,” Rouhollah Latifi was also quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency.
