Import Tariffs on Masks, Scrubs Abolished

Tariffs for the import of masks and scrubs have been abolished, according to Saeed Abbaspour, the director general of the Ministry of Industries, Mining, and Trade's Exports and Imports Regulations Department.
“The decision is aimed at providing enough supplies required by the Health Ministry and public use, amid the spread of the new coronavirus,” he told IRNA.
According to Abbaspour, all businessmen can take steps to import masks and scrubs under the supervision of the Consumers and Producers Protection Organization and the Health Ministry.
Earlier, the Industries Ministry had removed import tariffs on alcohol.
